I have to apologize as I am having some unusual technical issues with episode 4 which means that for a while longer it will be unavailable for download. Hopefully these will be resolved in the next day.
UPDATE: Everything is now working properly… 🙂
A fellow podiobook author Jake Bible is having a Kindle Rush for his novel Dead Mech. For the month of
March February his promo for that story will be included in the start of each episode of The Spiral Tattoo. Go check it out 🙂
Meanwhile episode four of The Spiral Tattoo seems to have dropped from where it is hosted. unfortunately I won’t be home until tonight, which is in about 12 hours from now, and will be unable to reload it until then. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
[Update: It shows that it is not a good idea to post to early in the morning. The promo starts today running through February]
Podiobooks has had a little hiccup. It seems that there has been so much traffic recently that the hardware supporting the site fell over, and we need to get a new one. It’s mainly the fault of Nathan Lowell and his Ishmilites, who managed to double the normal traffic in their desire to read his latest offering Owner’s Share.
You can donate to Podiobooks here. All this is done by a lot of people committed to free serialised audio fiction, so your support is greatly appreciated. You can also donate to your favourite authors, with any donations being split %75 to the author, and %25 to the site. Another way to support us is to leave reviews and ratings on Itunes for your favourite authors. That is part of the whole rankings scenario, where more positive reviews and ratings push our stories further up on Itunes, and makes our podcasts more visible. Then we get more readers who may also like to donate. 🙂
I don’t really feel comfortable asking for money or reviews, without Podiobooks I wouldn’t be writing as much, nor would I have found such wonderful works. So thankyou for those who have already given enough to help get us over this bump in the road, and thanks for the continued support which will help ensure a continuity of service.
The next significant download mark is about to be hit. Sometime today we will clock over 20,000 individual downloads for The Spiral Tattoo. Also the first episode ticks over 2,000 downloads, and all other episodes tick over 1,000 downloads. It’s very exciting to think that 2,000 people have chosen to download my story, and that 1,000 have chosen to listen through to the end. 🙂
Wow. A lot of people have been downloading and listening to my story. 🙂
Like a lot of authors I would love to hear what you thought of my story 🙂 Feel free to leave a review at podiobooks, and to rate the story. Or you can do that on Itunes as well. You can leave a comment here, or even post a review on your site 🙂 if you do link it through to here so I can check it out.
It’s all over. For now that is. Thank-you to all the listeners who have downloaded and listened to The Spiral Tattoo. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. 🙂
Now my partner in crime gets to stay out of the closet for a few months while I write the next Fursk and Gurt adventure! Something for which she is truly grateful! Hopefully I will also be able to sell the rights to the dead-tree version of the novel, which will mean some editing.
This it. The final. The end. The Last Episode, episode seventeen.
Our tale comes to an end with Fursk and Gurt making an unexpected confrontation in a familiar place.
It’s the penultimate episode, episode 16.
All paths start to come together, as Fursk and Gurt close in on what is happening in their city.
The city explodes, as we countdown to the last episode. Only two episodes to go after this!
There is a riot in the slums and Fursk and Gurt are in the middle of it.
Things are heating up now 🙂 Here is episode fourteen.
Trouble comes to the city, and Gurt follows a lead by himself…
